Pumpkins!

After our trip to Jackson's Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch on Thursday, we had more fun with pumpkins on Friday.  We did a pumpkin sequencing activity, placing the events in the life cycle of a pumpkin in order, from seed to ripe orange pumpkin.  We also used the class pumpkin given to us by Jackson's Orchard to perform a Pumpkin Report--we drew and described our pumpkin, measured the height and width of our pumpkin, and estimated the number of seeds inside before cutting it open, cleaning it out, and counting the seeds to check against our estimation.
