A Visit from the Fire Dept.

     To go along with our Reading Focus Story--Miss Bindergarten Takes a Field Trip with Kindergarten--we will have several special guests coming to talk to us this week.  In our story, Miss Bindergarten takes her class on a Field trip to visit the locations of several Community Helpers (the Fire Department, Library, Post Office, etc.)  We have arranged for several of these Community Helpers to come visit us this week.
     On Monday, we had a visit from the Mitchellville Fire Department.  Firemen Chris and Taffy taught us many things about the duties of a fireman and fire safety.  They also brought a fire truck with them and let us look at all the special tools that firemen keep on their trucks, explaining their purpose to us.  We got a chance to hear the siren up close, and have our picture taken with the firemen as well!  Thank you, Firemen Chris and Taffy!
