Last Tuesday, we were lucky enough to have the wonderful Kim Sutton visit our school. She met with 3rd-5th grade teachers in the morning and K-2nd grade teachers in the afternoon. While the 3rd, 4th, and 5th teachers were in their meeting, their classes were paired up with a K, 1st, or 2nd grade classroom, and then we swapped in the afternoon; Miss Mitchell's wonderful 3rd graders spent the morning with us, and our class spent the afternoon with her so that I could attend the meeting. Though a little crowded, we had a blast! Below are examples of an activity that the 3rd graders helped us with (each child in my class was paired with a "buddy" in Miss Mitchell's class)--a mosaic tile name project. I think they turned out pretty cool!
